What are Program Types?
Program Types are classification codes that categorize your programs by the type of service or activity they represent.
System Program Types
Argenta includes these default program types:
- Education/Instruction: Training, workshops, classes, and learning programs
- Advocacy: Policy work, awareness campaigns, and community organizing
- Awards, Prizes & Competitions: Recognition programs and contests
- Youth & Family Services: Programs serving children, teens, and families
- Research & Data Analysis: Studies, surveys, and data collection initiatives
- Healthcare: Medical services, health screenings, and wellness programs
- Substance Abuse: Addiction recovery and prevention programs
- Housing: Shelter services and housing assistance
- Mental Health: Counseling, therapy, and mental wellness services
- Environmental: Conservation, sustainability, and environmental programs
- Employment: Job training, placement, and career services
Custom Program Types
Your organization can add its own program types to match your specific needs. An admin can add a new type right from a program: click the orange plus (+) icon next to the Program Type field on the Program Details screen. You can also manage your full list of program types under the Classification Codes menu.
