How to Connect Grants to Programs and Projects

Link grants to the programs and projects they fund for complete tracking.

Accessing Grant Connections

  1. Open the grant record
  2. Click Connections in the workspace navigation

Connecting to a Program

  1. In the Programs section, use the lookup to find the program
  2. Click Connect
  3. The program now shows as funded by this grant

Connecting to a Project

For project-specific grants:

  1. On Grant Details, check Is Project Grant
  2. Select the associated project
  3. Add project background information

Why Connect?

  • Grant Reporting: Easily see what activities the grant funds
  • Program View: Programs show their funding sources
  • Time Tracking: Track staff time against grant-funded projects
  • Expense Allocation: Connect expenses to grants

Other Connections

Grants can also connect to:

  • Tasks (grant-related work items)
  • Payroll distributions (staff funded by grant)
