How to Filter Reports by Date Range

Most reports in Argenta allow you to filter results by date range. Here is how to use date filters:

  1. Open the report you want to run
  2. Look for the Start Date and End Date fields in the parameters section
  3. Click the date picker icon to select a start date
  4. Click the date picker icon to select an end date
  5. Click Run Report to generate filtered results

Common date filter scenarios:

  • This month: Set start date to the 1st of the current month, end date to today
  • Last month: Set both dates to cover the previous calendar month
  • Year to date: Set start date to January 1st, end date to today
  • Fiscal year: Set dates according to your organization fiscal year
  • Custom range: Any start and end date combination you need

Tips:

  • Leave both date fields blank to include all dates (no date filter)
  • Filling in only one side is still a date filter. A record with nothing in that date field drops out as soon as you set either box, so leave both blank when you want those records included
  • Reports remember your last filter settings during your session
  • Use the Reset button to clear all filters including dates
  • Date filters apply to the primary date field for that report type (donation date, event date, etc.)
